Welfare of the School

The DBPPAA, in furtherance of its mission of providing assistance to the School, has recently made a donation of much needed sports . goods to the value of SLR 120,000.00 at the request made by the Principal. The Association hopes for continued support and assistance of all Devians to carry out its mission for many more years to come….

DEVI SCHOLARSHIP FUND

The “Devi Scholarship Fund” was inaugurated in June 2012 with a vision of providing financial support and assistance to deserving Devians in their G C E Advanced Level education. The DBPPAA coordinates the project with the school in Colombo Sri Lanka in the selection of scholarship recipients, and monitoring their progress and achievements during the period of the scholarship. An average of six scholarships are awarded each year.

Each scholarship provides SLR 5,000.00 per month to each student spanning over 26 months during their years 11 and 12 at school. Annual Devi Dance is the major fund raising event for the Scholarship Fund. Also voluntary contributions received by the Association for full and partial scholarships from past pupils are highly acknowledged. These direct contributions significantly add resources to continue the scholarship program more efficiently.
